Banana Bread and the American Baker's Association (Digital Nomad Sweetooth)

One of the things digital nomads can do because they work from home is to cook (Ok sometimes clean, cook, twiddle with something, workout, whatever! Just get off the chair.). First, cooking is fun and with lap tops and stuff you can pretty much work from anywhere. Why not work from the kitchen? Some good ideas come up when you are doing something else.

King Arthur
Banana Bread History

Ok, my banana bread was a C+/B- but it really wasn't the point of baking it. Mostly I bake and leave it to my college age kids to devour. I might have one piece at like 250 calories or something.

(Trying to do a little fitness training on the side and some local firefighting so I want to stay in shape. Most firefighters die because of heart attacks during bouts of extreme exertion and that comes from not staying in shape.)

I quoted the following from the American Baker's Association

"Bakers are found in all 50 states, in the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The baking industry employs almost 800,000 skilled individuals, generates over $42 billion in direct wages, and has an overall economic impact of over $186 billion."

Baking is great business! I have noticed in some nice towns bakeries and coffee shops. They are social hubs and popular for digital nomads. People also love fresh bread. Biking around I sometimes stop and buy a loaf. Maybe it costs me $5 instead of $2.50 or $1.50 for the cheap processed stuff but all that money stays local in a way that enhances communities.
