Simple and Convenient Breakfast Dining at Kono’s Surf Club

Kono’s Surf Club isn’t really a surf club but does serve popular beach food for those enjoying their day on Pacific Beach.  Across from Crystal Pier and offering both inside seating and cliff side dinning you can still watch the waves as you quench your surfing appetite.

By design Kono’s is not a fancy restaurant but does fit within the age and lifestyle of Pacific Beach lovers. Items are offered under $6 and include a short list of egg burritos, scrambled eggs, and pancakes.

Having a large menu isn’t always a benefit. A growing trend in slicing offerings in casual dining establishments is growing (Coffer, 2012). Restaurants are finding that large menus increase cost, are complex, confuse customers, and don’t allow staff to focus on what they do best.

Restaurants are known for only a few items on their menu. Kono’s Surf Club is best remembered for their breakfast foods. Customers rave about their scrambled eggs and egg burritos. When they think of Kono’s they will natural think of these spearheading two products, reasonable price, and location when their beach activities increase their appetite.

Art Review: The Kiss by Gustav Klimt

The Kiss is Gustav Klimt’s most famous and well known painting. Produced in 1908 in Vienna, Austria and incorporated oil and gold life on the canvas ( 1 ). This was unique for his time and represents both tile works with Asiatic influence. The painting and the romance it brings forward is still wonderment to onlookers. The picture depicts a passionate relationship between a man and woman in a sort of perfect place.  The couple is embracing, bodies entwined, wearing robes of wealth and decadence. It provides linear constructs of the Art Nouveau style and the movement of arts with crafts ( 2 ). The male is square and masculine while the woman painted is in curves to represent femininity. The couple is a pair with the woman and man equal in stature. They are in a field of flowers and appear to rise above it.  To many this painting represents the concept that love has no bounds. Social position or worldly wealth cannot hide what goes on under the fancy clothes and standard m

The Meaning of A Boundless Moment by Robert Frost

A Boundless Moment by Robert Frost He halted in the wind, and — what was that Far in the maples, pale, but not a ghost? He stood there bringing March against his thought, And yet too ready to believe the most. "Oh, that's the Paradise-in-bloom," I said; And truly it was fair enough for flowers had we but in us to assume in march Such white luxuriance of May for ours. We stood a moment so in a strange world, Myself as one his own pretense deceives; And then I said the truth (and we moved on). A young beech clinging to its last year's leaves. The poem is one of seasons changing and the cycle of life. Each May the bloom comes out and brings life to the death of winter. The poem is about a single moment when the characters see that life has changed. The layers of meaning can be deep but on the surface it appears Robert Frost is discussing nature and its cyclical momentum.   Everything in nature moves through patterns. The poem indicates that

Escanaba City Council Meeting (Nov. 2nd, 2023): Christmas Trees and Performing Arts

There were many big topics but one of the biggest is how theater improves people's lives. There are many that believe that the arts have no purpose in modern life but that is far from the truth. The arts teaches us values and further teaches us about the deeper meaning of life. For example, theater can improve empathy and in turn empathy can lead to greater togetherness and pro social learning. Empathy and Theater . Thus, arts is not a useless endeavor but is one of those things that transfers certain values and expectations from generation to generation. It has a deeper purpose in society and Escanaba is aware of that purpose and supports its arts programs.    Patrons of Escanaba Schools Performing Arts November 21st Christmas Tree Lighting  December 1st Christmas Parade Nov. 2nd, 2023 Esky City Council Agenda * Sidenote.
