Luxurious Club M in North County San Diego

Club M is located in The Grand Del Mar in North County San Diego. Immediately upon entering the premises, you will be introduced to the gate guard that checks identification and wishes the visitors a fun and safe evening. Traveling along tree-lined roads you  become aware that this is no ordinary location. It is a drive of luxury with rolling hills and manicured flowers that fancy the eye. Even the stone signs and fencing make you think of something out of Downtown Abbey.

Upon arrival, you pull your car to the valet who promptly open the doors, hand you a ticket and drive off. The total is $10 with no cost to enter the establishment. If you have frequented the club scene, you are aware that $10 or $20 is often necessary to simply enter a dance club. To pay this amount for valet instead of a cover charge is pleasant. They parked my old Porsche next to the valet stand in the first spot-I guess the new paint job hides its true value.

They serve breakfast, lunch and tapas (snacks). Items like Duck Confit Flatbread, Seared Salmon and Watercress, as well as sandwiches, salads, and tacos. Dinning ends at 10:00 pm on the weekend and live music is played between 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm before the thumping sound of the D.J. starts. Once that gets going the crowd starts to pile in for a fun evening.

Seating is luxurious with indoor, patio, and fireplace seating available. The decorations of the establishment are top notch and feels as though it was a place for a Spanish king. Perhaps Phillip II of Spain would have taken a vacation there if it was available at the time. The great thing is you don’t need to be part of a Monarch to feel like you are born right into a line of kings.

The dance floor is adjacent to the patio which makes it convenient to heat up the body and then move out for some fresh air and conversation. Plenty of spaces are available for people to communicate. The music might be a little loud for long conversations but at least it offers an opportunity to sit and put your items down. This is a great plus within a club.

The ages range from 25 to 55 with a various mixture of each. The music is modern dance in its orientation which draws a wide crowd. You will find the young dancing next to the old. On occasion, you may find them dancing together. Makes you wonder. Yet it appears that all are welcome at Club M and all seem to come.

The lines can be a little long at the bar. When it is busy the bar tenders do their best to keep up with the crowd. If you wait in your chair long enough you will find a waitress that will make her rounds every 10 minutes or so. Prices of drinks are a little expensive but not out of the normal for an establishment. A glass of Merlot and a whiskey sour costs around $27. They are tall stiff drinks so it makes you feel a little better.

The Grand Del Mar offerings a wide variety of activities that include golfing, dining, resort facilities, equestrian classes and events, pool, tennis, spa and much more. It is a luxurious location with that hosts a 5-star hotel that has truly a luxurious servicescape. The grounds and buildings are immaculate and this offers one of the best views and locations in the country. It is located in San Diego's Los Peñasquitos Canyon and only 5 miles from the coast.
