Fire Calamity May Have Opened Up Investment Lots in Escanaba: Schumpeter Opportunities

A fire broke out and opened a hole in our hearts like it did in our downtown. Even though the building is a loss, it does open a new spot for new ideas and through the old comes something new. Escanaba is on an investment upswing and sometimes calamity brings new opportunities. It is the cycle of life and the economy when the old is replaced by the new (Schumpeter Creative Destruction)

With growth in local industrial and vacation interest and investment this can be a chance to develop something interesting to further Esky's global alignment. Developing these open spots could lead to parity with other development opportunities so that they enhance interest in both. The new development sites and the park are within 10 blocks of each other. Directly in the middle of downtown. Google Map

My argument has been to coordinate efforts to attract entrepreneurs that want to service the local public as well develop their businesses for exporting products (Best of both worlds. A functioning downtown and exporting products/services to draw in more wealth to the area. Sometimes they move on to create new businesses. Getting them here first makes a big difference. That requires thinking about what attracts entrepreneurs, grants, financing, community, etc.)

This is the time interested investors could think about being part of the process of building an emerging hot spot! Why sit on the sidelines when you can create? 🤔 Escanaba Commercial, Innovation Delta County, Cancun Esky!, WW. Oliver Start Your Business, DC Hedge Fund, Attracting Adventure SME.

If your interested in these sites or others I would contact the DDA right away and maybe they can help find some good prospects for you. Escanaba DDA

Btw...the local firefighters did a great job tackling this fire and battled the blaze. If you want to volunteer and donate consider contacting Escanaba Public Safety or Escanaba Twp. Fire Department. Get involved in your community! Fire Video
