Ok as I move onto my beach bum lifestyle (with some responsibilities and interest beyond general slumming around and coconut flavored beverages) I got this super cool backpack to travel. Something I kind of wanted to do a lot more of before I get too old. The cool thing about Beach Bumming is saying phrases like .....Hakuna Matata and meaning it!
Tons of space and lots of pouches. Something like 50L and you can carry it on. Has a waist belt for more serious hiking. About $80. Not bad.
